Covenant Series Book 1: Half-Blood

Originally published in October 2011, this work now includes a bonus novella titled DAIMON. The Hematoi are a race that descends from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi – known as pure-bloods – possess godlike powers. However, the children of Hematoi and mortals, or half-bloods, do not share the same level of power.

Half-bloods have only two options: they can either become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons, or they can become servants in the homes of the pure-bloods. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would much rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up in the latter scenario anyway.

There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow, and Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1: Relationships between pure-bloods and half-bloods are forbidden. Unfortunately for Alex, she has developed strong feelings for the extremely attractive pure-blood Aiden.

However, her crush on Aiden is not her biggest problem. Staying alive long enough to graduate from the Covenant and become a Sentinel is a more pressing concern. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would be an incredibly unpleasant fate.

The Hematoi are a unique and powerful race, and the story explores the challenges and conflicts that arise from the divide between pure-bloods and half-bloods. Alexandria's journey is one of self-discovery, as she navigates the treacherous waters of the Covenant and her own forbidden feelings for Aiden.

As she fights to survive and fulfill her destiny, Alexandria must confront not only the external threats she faces, but also the internal struggles that threaten to undermine her.
